Trade-In Value

The Kelley Blue Book® Trade-in Value is Kelley Blue Book's estimate of what a consumer can expect to receive from a dealer for a trade-in vehicle assuming an accurate appraisal of condition. This value will likely be less than the Kelley Blue Book® Private Party Value because the reselling dealer incurs the cost of safety inspections, reconditioning and other costs of doing business.

Trade-In Range

The Trade-In Range is Kelley Blue Book’s estimate of what a consumer can reasonably expect to receive this week based on the style, condition, mileage and options of the vehicle when they trade it in to a dealer. However, every dealer is different and values are not guaranteed.

Red Zone (Trade In)

The red zone falls below the Trade-In Range. Special circumstances such as unusual color and excess inventory may contribute to values shown in this zone.

White Zone (Trade In)

The white zone falls above the Trade-In Range. Special circumstances such as exceptionally low supply with high demand for certain vehicles may contribute to values in this range. Most owners should not expect to receive a value in this area.

This meter represents a sample range of recent transaction prices for vehicles of the same year, make and model as the vehicle specified, but sometimes with a different style and/or equipment. Analyzed transaction prices exclude taxes, DMV fees, documentation fees, other dealership charges and any available rebates and incentives.
