Summer Maintenance Checklist

Road trip season is here, so it’s important to make sure your car’s in good shape before you hit the road. A bit of prep and servicing may reduce the impact that sweltering summer heat can have on your vehicle.

Here are a few items that Firestone Complete Auto Care recommends checking to be prepared for the spring weather. For additional maintenance tips, click here.

General Maintenance

Have your spark plugs, filters, battery charge and coolant – which is important in the summer heat – all checked by a trained technician.

Tires

Before setting out on your adventure and to help with a smooth drive, have your tires checked for pressure, wear and alignment.

Steering and Suspension

Before hitting the road, have your vehicle’s steering and suspension system checked to ensure a smooth ride.

Brakes

Since it’s one of the most important systems on your vehicle – make an appointment to get your brakes inspected.
